Aim and scope (geomath)
The Croatian geomathematical congresses started in 2016, often associate with subtopic of professional terminology development in this very dynamic geoscientific discipline. From the very beginning they had support of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, where development of Croatian geomathematics started, and the Geomathematical section of the Croatian Geological Society, where the most prominent Croatian geomathematicians were and are active. Those congresses were also preceded with joint Croatian-Hungarian geomathematical conferences organised from 2008 until 2017.
The main aims and scopes of conference papers and lectures are oriented to: (a) application of mathematical geology in natural and technical geosciences, (b) development of theory in mathematical geology, (c) application and development of neural networks and machine learning in geosciences, (d) application and theory of statistics in geosciences, (e) development of professional terminology in geomathematics. Conference proceedings publish exclusively full, reviewed, papers.
