The 8th international conference "Economics of Digital Transformation (EDT)" examines the critical intersection between artificial intelligence and geopolitics and explores how this transformative relationship is reshaping global power structures, economic systems and societal frameworks. As AI evolves from a purely technological innovation to a key geopolitical factor, nations are now competing for dominance in AI. At the same time, the international community faces urgent governance issues related to cross-border AI regulation and the establishment of universal ethical standards in an increasingly fragmented world order. AI is also fundamentally changing the economic landscape through automation and data-driven markets, while the growing "AI divide" threatens to exacerbate global inequalities between technologically advanced and developing countries. This conference provides an important platform for discussing these complex, interlinked challenges that will shape our common future.
